Two sides most shops keep apart. One basement on Halsey.

House and techno up top, salsa and merengue underneath, pressed into the same crate below street level. Drag the record and the room changes temperature.

A1 / the cold side

Side A

house & techno

Dub techno that hums for ten minutes before it shows its face. House twelves with the drums still wet.

We pull the records that fill a room at 2 AM, not the ones that chart. Imports, white labels, small runs, the kind of thing you have to come down the stairs to find. Bring a want list or bring nothing. The good ones never make it to the wall.

Side B

salsa, merengue y las que nadie tiene

Flip it over and the room gets warm. Salsa dura, merengue tipico, boogaloo, the sides your tio swears they stopped pressing.

Newark has always danced to this. We just put it back in the bins where you can find it, next to the techno and not in some back room. Vinilo que suena como en casa. Ask us, we will dig with you.
